1. Storage of batteries
(1) Storage of new batteries
⑤ The storage time of a new battery shall not exceed 2 years.
(2) Storage of batteries that are not in use temporarily
The wet storage method is adopted, that is, fully charged first, then adjust the electrolyte density to 1.24~1.28g/cm3, adjust the liquid level to the specified height, and then seal the vent. The storage period should not exceed half a year. During the period, it should be checked regularly, such as capacity. If it is reduced by 25%, it should be recharged immediately, and it should be fully charged before delivery.
(3) Storage of batteries that have been out of service for a long time
The dry storage method is adopted, that is, the fully charged battery is discharged at a discharge rate of 20 hours, then the electrolyte is poured out, and the water is repeatedly rinsed with distilled water until there is no acid in the water. The air vent is sealed and the storage conditions are the same as that of a new battery.
2. New battery activation
First, wipe the outer surface, unscrew the filling hole cover, clear the vent hole, inject new electrolyte, let it stand for 4-6 hours, adjust the liquid level to the specified value, and charge it according to the initial charging specification before use.
The dry-charged battery can be directly added to the specified density of electrolyte during the specified storage period (usually 2 years) when it is started, and after standing for 20 to 30 minutes, the liquid level can be calibrated and it can be used. If part of the capacity is lost due to overdue storage or improper storage, it should be recharged after filling electrolyte.
3. Disassembly and assembly of the battery
(6) When wiring, connect the positive pole first and then the negative pole. When removing the wires, the opposite is true to prevent metal tools from grounding and short-circuit the battery.
